the 62nd Annual Luncheon – idgtE
The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London
Building on the great success of previous Annual Luncheons, last year’s event saw over
500 guests attend from across the energy industry. The IDGTE is delighted to announce
that the 62nd Annual Luncheon will be held on Thursday 2 April 2009 at The Brewery in
Central London.
This prestigious event in the industry’s calendar is an excellent
opportunity to network with members, clients, colleagues and
friends, both old and new. There is also the opportunity to hear and
engage with internationally recognised speakers. The IDGTE is proud
to introduce the following guest speakers:
Sarwjit Sambhi is Managing Director of Power Generation at Centrica
responsible for the generation fleet, new construction projects, trading and
business development across thermal and renewable power. Prior
to this Sarwjit was with consulting company Booz Allen & Hamilton
where he led much of the energy work in Europe and the Middle East.

Jim Lawless is reputably one of the most inspirational and popular
speakers in Europe. Accepting a £1 audience bet, he went from a 12 st
smoking, drinking (and non-riding) business consultant to a 9 st jockey
and competed in his first televised race just 12 months later. He won the
bet! Jim is renowned for his business empathy, energy, humour and tales
of mistakes made and lessons learned at racetracks and on the gallops.
It is anticipated that this year’s event will once again be a ‘sell out’
so booking is essential. The afternoon will commence with a pre-luncheon reception at
12 noon in the King George III reception room. Lunch will follow at 1.00pm in the Porter Tun room.
Members are invited to book tickets which are available at £88.00* each.
Member companies reserving one or more tables are welcome to
reserve a reception table free of charge, where company flags or
logos can be displayed to enable guests to rapidly identify their hosts.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For further information
please contact the IDGTE office (details below).
*Inclusive of VAT and gratuities. Excludes additional refreshments.
