Hello Clive: there's quite a lot of action backstage. If you're interested in that, here's what I'm doing to try to make it happen, when I have a bit of spare time: I'm trying to create software to merge the content of the mailman lists with web forums, so that people can choose to read via the web or via email; and likewise they can choose to post via the web or via email. There's more of the nitty gritty here.

Hi Andrew,

Yes it was all very interesting. However, in-light of the email I just got on the demise of the Group, integration seems a waste of time.

I will be glade to see the back of emails but not the other issues.

Why is the cost of hosting so much of a problem? I know of one company who offer unlimited space for low low prices. http://getdotted.com/

I had my own UK site with them for 10 years and service was first rate.

I said before I do not mind looking after transport (on the forum) if it takes no more then 15mins a day.

Advertising opportunities needs to be posted much bigger on the group site. Donations not likely how about a small membership fee? what would members pay £5 p.a. How about company memberships including better link through to websites.

Clive.
