This is a critical role for the business and you will be working directly with the recently appointed senior management to develop plans and strategy. <br />

Responsibilities will include: <br />
<ul><li> Assessing the current health and safety standards and protocols to formulate a benchmark from which to move forward</li>
<li> Developing and continually updating a full health and safety policy across the organization</li>
<li> Communicating and ensuring the implementation of the health and safety policy across the organisation</li>
<li> Maintaining all site documentation and liaising with third parties where applicable</li>
</ul>This is a newly created role and you will be working in a fast moving and dynamic environment. There is large scale investment planned so the successful candidate will need to have the ability to continually tailor and adapt the health and safety strategy to the changing environment.<br />
<br />
The successful candidate will have:<br />
<ul><li> Proven experience developing and implementing health and safety policy within the manufacturing or industrial sector</li>
<li> Strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations</li>
<li> NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li> Strong influencing and communication skills to ensure the strategy is implemented from the boardroom to shop floor</li>
</ul>This position will require a self starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running. There will be the opportunity for this role to develop into a global position and there may be international travel from time to time.  <br />

<li> Coordinating the internal legal, operations, and financial teams to ensure all information is available for the deliver of tenders</li>
<li> Staying in regular contact with clients and attending client meetings</li>
<li> Constantly look for new ways in which technology and existing resources can be used to improve the quality of and margins with in bids</li>
<li> Staying in constant contact with market activity to stay abreast of conditions, upcoming tenders, and client requirements</li>
</ul>Essential requirements:<br />
<ul><li> Experience in bid estimation and bid preparation, including exposure to operational and financial modeling and forecasting</li>
<li> Experience in cost control and research methodologies</li>
<li> A related degree (or equivalent)</li>
</ul>A background in waste / recycling or the wider environmental space is beneficial  <br />
<br />
This role will involve communicating complex ideas to non technical people, strong communication skills are essential. You will be required to evaluate extensive data sets from a variety of sources, excellent analytical skills are essential.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><b>UK - Luton | Up to £30000 + Benefits</b>A global scrap metal company with a growing profile in the UK is recruiting for a driven and enthusiastic Site Operations Manager to maintain and improve site performance. This company has recently received a multi million pound investment and is now taking the next step in its development to take advantage of new markets.<br />
<br />
This is a critical role for the success of the business and the key focus of the roll will be health and safety, environmental performance, people management, cost, and efficiency. A senior management role this position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities will include: <br />
<br />
<ul><li> Day to day people management of over 16 staff including responsibility for their health and safety</li>
<li> Ensuring the smooth management and regular maintenance of plant and machinery</li>
<li> Management of site budget and the monitoring and improvement of processes</li>
<li> Maintaining all site documentation</li>
<li> Liaising with third parties including suppliers, partnership companies, and internally</li>
</ul>This will be a demanding role working in a high pressure environment. There is large scale investment planned so the successful candidate will take a pragmatic approach to site management.<br />
<br />
The successful candidate will have:<br />
<br />
<ul><li> Proven experience in a site management role in a waste / recycling environment</li>
<li> Strong people management skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of interest groups</li>
<li> A strong practical background in and knowledge of health and safety legislation</li>
</ul>Those with a machinery / forklift licence and a background in scrap metals would be of particular interest.<br />
<br />
This position will require a self starter who can lead a team by example. You will be expected to approach your work with a ‘can do’ attitude, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions. Strong communication skills are a must.  <br />

The consultancy’s Landscape Team has an expanding workload which you will be supporting through design and assessment of major infrastructure projects and urban design schemes. In this role you will be furthering your skills and gaining thorough experience on the following tasks.<br />
<br />
<ul><li> Site surveys in support of Environmental Assessments and analysis</li>
<li> Development of landscape and environmental improvement schemes</li>
<li> Production of conceptual and detailed designs and associated drawings</li>
</ul>To apply for this position you will have studied a post graduate landscape qualification and be an Associate member of the Landscape Institute. In addition you will have gained previous experience in the design and implementation of hard and soft landscape schemes along with proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop.<br />
<br />
Candidates who have gained landscape planning knowledge and experience in assessment and design of major infrastructure projects will be of particular interest along with a competency in additional landscape software applications.<br />
