ResponsiveLoad Limited
ResponsiveLoad Limited is a start-up company that has been founded to develop and exploit the concept of consumer-led management of the stability of electricity grids. The use of ReponsiveLoad technologies reduces the need for central control of small and unpredictable generators (such as wind power), and thus makes small gas CHP generation more economic. A patent has been granted on several sophisticated aspects necessary to ensure the overall stability of the network under different circumstances. A US patent on the underlying concept was awarded to Professor Fred C Schweppe of MIT in February 1982 and has now expired. A company, ResponsiveLoad Limited, has been formed, and it is this company that owns the patent. We are currently looking for investment capital. Shares and share options in the company are potentially available to any party who wishes to invest in the concept.
